Samsung is preparing to launch three new phones:
-
Galaxy S26
-
Galaxy S26+
There were rumors about different models (like an “Edge” or “Pro” version), but Samsung decided to stick with the standard three models to compete with the iPhone 17.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Release Dates, Pre-Order Offers And Price
Launch Date: When is the Event?
The big launch event, called Galaxy Unpacked, will take place later than usual this year.
-
Event Date: Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
-
Location: San Francisco.
-
Time: Likely 10:00 AM Pacific Time.
Samsung pushed the date back from January to February because they changed their product plans, which slowed down manufacturing.
Release Date: When Can I Buy It?
-
Pre-Orders: You can order the phones immediately after the event ends on February 25.
-
In-Store Date: The phones are expected to be available in stores on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. This date was leaked by European sources but will likely apply to the US and UK as well.
Expected Pricing
Experts believe Samsung will keep the starting prices the same as last year’s Galaxy S25 series:
-
Galaxy S26: $799
-
Galaxy S26+: $999
-
Galaxy S26 Ultra: $1,299
Note on Prices: While the starting price is stable, upgrading to more storage (memory) might cost extra this year because computer parts are getting more expensive.
Deals and Offers
-
Trade-ins: Samsung will likely offer good discounts if you trade in your old phone.
-
Storage Upgrade: In the past, Samsung offered a “Double Storage” deal (get the 512GB model for the price of the 256GB model). Because component prices are high, this deal might not happen this year.
One More Phone: The S26 FE
Samsung is also planning a cheaper version called the Galaxy S26 FE (Fan Edition). However, this will not launch in February. It will likely arrive much later in 2026, similar to how the S25 FE came out in September.
